Project Context
The aim of this project was to analyse the design language of an existing brand, and design a product that would complement their range, all whilst being something they do not sell.
My chosen brand was Bang & Olufsen. This brand is synonymous with highly tidy and stylistically versatile sound solutions. My goal was to design a kettle that fit this brief.
My design process started with identifying their style, and finding inspiration in their current range.
Project Development
I then delved into product development and went through many iterations to find the best form and function.
Development took the form of both sketching and 3D modelling
Project Outputs
After altering my concept based on feedback, my Bang & Olufsen Kettle was complete.
This design featured wooden, marble, and clean plastic accents to match the aesthetic of the brand, as well as being as analogue through a mechanism-free refilling slot, and nonobtrusive power button.
