Project Context
The aim of this project was to deconstruct a cheap Bluetooth speaker, and then replicate it in SolidWorks. This project was aimed at honing CAD abilities, as well as identifying materials and manufacturing techniques.
My chosen speaker was a Pantone branded wedge speaker, designed to provide stereo sound for office setups.
The first task undertaken was the careful disassembly of the speaker so all parts were measurable and in a re-constructable state.
Project Development
After deconstruction, I then measured and recreated all components within the speaker as accurately as possible.
Only some of the parts are featured here due to the focus on “in house” verses “off-the-shelf” parts.
Project Outputs
By the end of the project I had a complete CAD model of the product that demonstrated my capabilities using the software, as well as an analysis on the materials and manufacturing techniques used to make the product.
