Project Context
The aim of this project was to design a product that would extend the existing range of a potential employer by filling a gap in their offerings.
My chosen “employer” was SI Retail. They are Brisbane based manufacturers of retail display solutions such as shelving, racks, and other display tools for shop owners.
One key exclusion from the company’s offerings was a solution made sustainably, from sustainable or ecofriendly materials.
Therefore, how might I design a sustainable display solution for SI Retail?
Project Development
From my research, I found that SI Retail was also missing large - premium look shelving unit from their product range, therefore that was the avenue I decided to pursue.
Project Outputs
My final design was a large premium showcase rack that provided shopkeepers flexibility in their display ability, all whilst being made sustainably, and effectively for use by retailers and their staff.
